Dear Johnny,
On behalf of Lipscomb University, we would like to thank you and your
staff for the outstanding service and hospitality you shared with our
guests at our Olde English Christmas Celebration last month. The guests
were thrilled with the experience of riding in the beautiful horse-drawn
carriages. It was the perfect touch on a great evening.
We appreciate your attention to detail in making our event such a great
experience for the guests.
Best regards,

Nancy Williams Director Downtown Franklin Association
Dear Johnny & Brenda:
Just want to let you know how much we appreciate your carriage service to our annual Dickens of Christmas event in Downtown Franklin. Especially this past year, we realize the extremely large crowd created a challenge for the carriage ride service. Once again, your team performed exceptionally well for the two-day event. More than a thousand people enjoyed their ride around Main Street.
Downtown Franklin has benefitted from our long relationship with Sugarcreek Carriages (can’t remember if it’s eight or nine years!). Your horses, dog and carriages are featured in thousands of photos of the event and have become a major part of it. We look forward to working with Sugarcreek Carriages in the future!
Best Wishes,
Nancy Williams Director Downtown Franklin Association

Janauary 9, 2012. Letter Of Recommendation ! Franklin Board of Mayor and Alderman City Hall 109 3rd Avenue South Franklin, TN 37064.
Dear Mayor Moore and ALdermen :
During the past ( 7 ) years, I have had the opportunity to work directly with Johnny and Brenda Smith of a Dickens of a Christmas Festival . I have always been impressed by their professionalism and by the fact that safety is their number one priority . They are courteous and professional toward everyone, from the people riding the carriage, to the other vendors , and to the throngs of people who are just wanting to watch or to pet their horse. With the opening of the theatre and the increase in foot traffic downtown, I think having their horse and carriage available in Franklin on a regular basis would be a great addition to our downtown and a real attraction for tourist and locals alike . I know that they have extensive experience with Franklin as well as working on a regular basis in downtown Nashville. I am , Sincerely , DAVID W. GARRETT

Johnny and Brenda (Sugar Creek Carriages),
I wanted to thank you for the professional way you took care of my guests here at Daisy Hill Bed and Breakfast. I was able to recommend with confidence the Sugar Creek Carriage Company to my guests the Bitters. You talked with them to find out exactly what they wanted to do and put the plan into action.
I was delighted that you knew what to do with the directional route which we defined as a safe and interesting route for them to be able to enjoy the Holiday lights in the neighborhood. I will recommend and look forward to working with you again in the future.
Best,
Linda Bengon

RE: JOHNNY AND BRENDA SMITH
d/b/a SUGAR CREEK CARRIAGES
Dear Madam or Sir:
My name is James Gregory, and I am the Operations Manager for the Pigeon Forge Factory Outlet Mall. I am writing this letter in regards to Johnny and Brenda Smith as they were tenants at the Mall during the year 2011.
While at the Mall, Johnny and Brenda Smith conducted carriage rides, using a horse and carriage, throughout the Mall property. Prior to allowing Johnny and Brenda Smith to operate at the Mall, they had to obtain a business permit as well as each month appearing before the City of Pigeon Forge to receive a Special Events License that had to be renewed monthly. Johnny and Brenda Smith performed all necessary steps to operate their business at the Mall as well as in the City of Pigeon Forge.
While at the Mall, Johnny and Brenda Smith had no operating problems or complaints from the general public, customers, or other tenants. The Smith’s had no accidents, while operating their carriages, at the Mall.
Johnny and Brenda Smith left the Mall in good standings and are welcomed back as tenants anytime.
Kindest Regards,
James T. Gregory
Operations Manager
