During the past ( 7 ) years, I have had the opportunity to work directly with Johnny and Brenda Smith of a Dickens of a Christmas Festival . I have always been impressed by their professionalism and by the fact that safety is their number one priority . They are courteous and professional toward everyone, from the people riding the carriage, to the other vendors , and to the throngs of people who are just wanting to watch or to pet their horse. With the opening of the theatre and the increase in foot traffic downtown, I think having their horse and carriage available in Franklin on a regular basis would be a great addition to our downtown and a real attraction for tourist and locals alike .
